Koushi graduated from Madison College and became a licensed CVT in 2017, and she holds a Bachelor of Science in Animal Science, which she earned from the University of Wisconsin-Madison in 2015.
She joined our team in December 2021.
Prior to moving to the United States with her partner and their three bunnies, Koushi worked as a system administrator in Japan. While in the US, and after the “Great East Japan Earthquake” in 2011, Koushi decided to return to school to study animals so she could obtain knowledge and skills to help animals in crisis. Once she obtained her Bachelor’s degree, and then CVT certification, she worked in several small animal clinics in the Madison area. She had enjoyed her working interactions with ESO over the years, and we’re thrilled to have her on our team.
Did you know? Koushi entered Kyoto University of the arts in April 2022, where she takes correspondence courses on Ink Brush Painting and Calligraphy. She also raises her own Kouji (Japan’s national microbe) and yeast, utilizing these to make her own fermented foods including breads, miso, mirin and natto.
