In 1999, Dr. Edinger founded Surgical Options, LLC, which became Veterinary Specialty Options, and grew into Edinger Surgical Options.
He is a 1992 graduate of the University of Minnesota College of Veterinary Medicine and Diplomate of the American College of Veterinary Surgeons.
For the first three years after veterinary school, Dr. Edinger worked in a busy general practice in the Washington D.C. area, and following this, he pursued advanced surgical training, completing a one-year rotating internship at North Carolina State University, and a three-year surgical residency at the University of Wisconsin-Madison School of Veterinary Medicine. In 2001, Dr. Edinger became a board certified small animal veterinary surgeon, and he has special interests in arthroscopic surgery and physical rehabilitation.
Dr. Edinger is an avid outdoorsman who enjoys gardening, canoeing and cross-country skiing. He competes regularly in the skate division of the American Birkebeiner Ski Foundation in Hayward, Wisconsin.
